Stuart, Brad and John are getting their running shoes back on as they get set to run two local race events – just four weeks apart, all in aid of one of our long-standing customers Social Care in Action.
The first race is the Winchester Half marathon on 23rd September which takes in the idyllic setting of the Winchester countryside and landmarks such as St Catherine’s Hill, Winchester Cathedral and King Alfred the Great, the second race that they are taking part in is the Great South Run on 21st October which will take the boys on a 10 mile road run admiring the sights and sounds of Old Portsmouth, the Historic Dockyard and Winston Churchill Avenue before finally finishing along the blustery Southsea seafront.
Social Care in Action is a Southampton based not-for-profit group of social enterprises focused on health and wellbeing, working in local communities and meeting the needs of local people. They provide services to over 100,000 people in Central Southern England and as a social enterprise, they reinvest any profit back into their services to ensure that they can continue to support our local communities.
The competitiveness in the office has already begun and there are many Strava updates and ‘challenges’ between the three runners!
We’re also hosting a networking evening on Wednesday 19th September at The New Forest Pub in Ashurst to raise even more funds – you can find out more and register here
