As the mince pie eating month of December approaches, we’re determined not to let the full festive excesses get to us as and have signed up for a couple of fitness challenges – all to raise money for two charities close to our hearts.
February will see the whole team, plus a few friends, take part in a charity spinathon on behalf of our client Dave Morris of Kyudokan Karate who is trying to raise £20,000 for critical stem cell surgery. Dave sadly suffers from Parkinson’s disease and has carried out many fundraisers for Parkinson’s UK, we ran the Great South Run for them too, but now Dave’s fight is a lot more personal. You can read more about Dave’s story here.
April will then see John pounding the Southampton pavements as he embarks on his longest run yet – the 26.1 mile marathon, where he will be attempting to complete the course in under 5 hours. John is running for Fibromyalgia UK, this charity has been chosen due to John’s partner, Hana, suffering from the illness.
We look forward to reporting back on our individual and team feats!
